Great Things at Snö Mountain this winter
 

LOKIS 2ND ANNUAL SLOPESTYLE COMPETITION SPONSORED BY THE SKI CORNER

  • Slopestyle event consists of a competitor starting at the start of the course and choosing what rails and jumps he/she will utilize and what tricks he/she will do. The competitor is judged based on style and technical difficulty
  • Registration is from 8:00am to 9:00am
  • Entry fee is $10 and non season pass holders competing in the event have a discounted lift ticket rate of $20
  • Age groups: Under 10, 11-14, 15-17 and 18 & up
  • Any competitor under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian
  • Practice is from 9:00am to 10:00am
  • Contest starts at 10:30am
  • Prizes provided by the Ski Corner and Sno Mountain

Holly Flanders joins Snö Mountain’s team, World Cup and Olympic downhill racer will give Snö Mountain ski team a completive edge. She will serve as the junior racing consultant to Snö Mountains junior racing program. A 10-year veteran of the U.S. Ski Team, Flanders was a member of both the 1980 and the 1984 Olympic teams in Lake Placid and Sarajevo, as well as the 1982 and 1985 World Championship teams in Schladming, Austria and Bormio, Italy. Perhaps her best season came in 1982 when she recorded a pair of World Cup downhill victories and led the downhill standings up to the final race of the season before dropping to second. Flanders had a total of three career World Cup victories and was the U.S. National downhill champion in both 1981 and 1985.

New Trails - Snö Mountain is beginning to cut seven new trails with combined trails allowing skiers and boarders to ski and ride for over a mile and a half. One trail completed already, more on the way for the 2007 /2008 season.

Planet Snow Tools Ryan Neptune is expanding our terrain parks to 4 trails with more rails, more jumps. Bringing huge events this season. Some of the booked events are Revolution Tour, Mid-Atlantic Snowboard Series, Mountain Dew Challenge and a bigger and better Loki’s Slope Style,

Loki’s Terrain Park Snö Mountain purchases new Zaugg allowing them to groom the only 22 half pipe on the East Coast paving the way for Olympic Training Ground.

Loki’s Terrain Park expands adding a new trail with a second half pipe, a 13 foot half pipe with it’s own magic carpet, no waiting in lift lines to use this pipe.

 

Loki's Terrain Park Snö Mountain purchases more rails, to have the most rails of any resort in the area. Partial Rail Plan will consist of 1 banked wall rides 14ft X24ft with coping ledge with synthetic snow surfacing, 1 9ftX16ft A frame wall ride with synthetic snow surfacing, 1 complete 30ft session style bowl synthetic snow surfacing , 10ft wide large stair case with a kinked rail and smaller 10ft wide stair case with rec rail and single barrel rail, and 29ft C rainbow box and 100ft single barrel, 30ft single barrel kinked, 35ft single barrel up flat down.
